I\'m a 20 year old, straight female, and I can't help but to love this show. I was watching it on it's debut back in 2005 after watching an episode of Degrassi, and now I couldn't even tell you who any of the characters in Degrassi are anymore, but I know everything about South of Nowhere. This love story with Ashley and Spencer makes my heart jump everytime. You scream for joy their first night together, cuss Ashley out when she screws it up. Almost in tears when they reunite in Chelsea's studio and then your world crashes when Spencer walks out on it. 'In the end, love trumps fear, everytime.' That is the perfect saying for this show and it's become my moto for what I look for in a future relationship. Their unconditional love for each other warms my heart everytime things go right for them, and tears it all to pieces when their world falls apart. They can't end this show and if the-n chooses not to air it I think Tom should look elsewhere. Their story isn't finished.

hey, im 15 years old girl and a sophomore in high school. i started watching south of nowhere when season 2 just ended. i know, really late but i started watching re-runs when surprisingly the-n aired it a lot. i got more into it and started loving the show and story lines right away. im not into labeling myself and just being with someone i like and south of nowhere actually helped me in this. seeing spencer's emotions and see how her character thought about being who you are, taught me a lot about myself. also in that it is alright to love who you love. when i found out about south of nowhere's cancellation..lets just say it sucks. i really love this show and i hope it doesn't end. i love how south of nowhere is different than other shows and way more realistic,it helps connect to the audience that watches this show. i hope the-n can see how much we appreciate having this show and how it affects a lot of people.

I am a 28 year old girl who falls in love with people who happen to be of the same sex (not one for taxonomy as you might have guessed). I don't dismiss other love match possibilities (well maybe beastiality but you know what I mean right??), but i'm open to life's experiences. I was dealing with all the suppressed feelings of having feelings for girls and not having anything to gauge it against. If only there had been shows like the L word and South of Nowhere, maybe just maybe I could have felt safe as myself sooner. It wasn't until I saw a movie with a same sex couple (higher learning?), that I began to question the conventional .The reflective nature of film/t.v can do that more effectively than a pure context of heterosexuality. It made me think that the ease at which many young people 'come out' is largely thanks to shows like S.O.N as it integrates fluid sexuality/love from screen to life. Anything that makes such a difficult and life altering transition easier is a good thing.

As soon as I started watching South Of Nowhere, I knew it was something amazing. Im 15 and this show has helped me in so many ways. Its helped me to realize that its okay to be who I am. And that I have to live my own life, not anybody elses. And its helped to changed peoples minds and realize that people are people and that love is love. And its great that the characters are so real. No matter who you are you can relate to atleast one storyling. In me case, I can relate to both Spencer and Ashley. And Spashley has taught us that its not about being gay or straight, its just about love. Spashley will always be in my heart. I dont think I could ever forget this show. And no matter what, South of Nowhere will always be our show, the fans show, not the-n's show.Save Spashley

I am 21, straight female from a conservative family in Texas and I am going to a christian college in the Bible Belt. after I left home, I became more aware of the world around me and how unequal and devalued people are because of what they look like or believe. I am now a moderate liberal and in favor of Equal Rights for everyone. SoN did this for me in a huge way. it made me look at a person who is homosexual differently, not as a deviant or an abomonation, but as a human being that has fellings, emotions, and romanticism about them. The life problems and compatibilities between Spencer and Ashley are real, even though as a christian I believe it is a sin, yet the bible says that every sin is equal in the eyes of God, so the lie I tell is equal to the lesbian sex between Spashley. I have a love and understanding for the Gay community, I am not saying it is ok but that christians need to see that everyone sins and we cant condem a certain group for sin and not ourselves for our sins.

im 15 female straight..i luv this show ive watched it since it came out. and im not gay. parents need to realize there kids are gay cause they choose to be gay. no one can make u gay.and who gives a damn if ur gay. ANYWAYS.ppl where gay long before this show came out. the south of nowhere is the best show ever... its about true things that happen when ur a teen. it show all the emotions sad mad happy e.c.t. but most of the stuff that happen on the show u see at school, actually u see it pretty much everywhere. so leave the dang show alone. with or with out the show ur kids are still going to be gay. so why cancel a great show?

Hello, i am a lesbian i`m 17 years old i started to watch the show when it first came out in 2005 when i was 14 and just figureing my self out so i watched the first season and i relized how to explain myself i relized what a lesbian was and i knew that now i could explain myself and label myself and be proud of what i was.when the second season aired by that time i had it all figured out except for the fact i wasnt out i watched spencer go through everything she did and i started to come out to my school.after the second season my best friend who was a fan of the show killed herself she had told me before that this show helped her out alot. she killed herself because of all the abuse she was getting cuz she was gay thats a reason why this show needs to stay on. people are learning from this show to be more open minded and my friend would be sad to know a show that helped SO many people it just going down the drain like that tom lynch said he has more story left and we want to hear it

I am a 14 years old female. When I heard about the cancellation of SoN, I was devastated. I was in disbelief. I still am. SoN is the greatest show to ever be created. Not only was it so real and capturing, but SoN also helped me to do some soul searching. It gave me answers- answers I could not ask for from the people around me. Spashley was the best thing that happened to The-N. Following the journey of Spashley, I became more open-minded, and, most importantly, I learned the true meaning of acceptance. I was a faithful fan of SoN mainly because of Spashley. I am missing that LOVE that was showcased on the show. LOVE is what keeps my hopes alive.

Honestly I was an SoN fan even before the show premiered because of all the commercials The N used to hype it. I couldn't wait to see it and was instantly hooked and am so devastated and pissed off that it's getting the shaft. This is one of the most honest shows on television today, not to mention the only one that deals with teenage homosexuality. We need to keep the shows spirit alive for all of those it has touched reguardless of age or sexual preference. And a big thank you to Tom Lynch for creating such a phenomenal show. And of course thanks to Mandy and Gabrielle for their portrayals of their characters. SAVE SoN!

when i 1st heard of south of nowhere i was so excited. i thought "finally a show i can relate to, a show i can see some of myself in, a show that can make me feel not so alone." It's hard growing up in a society that say's it accepts you for who you are but doesn't show it. South was the 1st show that focused on what it's like to be a gay teen, no, not just a gay teen but a teen in general. struggeling to find out who you are & what you want. so many shows don't deal with real issues facing youth today, they just show the same cardboard cut out caracters with the same nice girl nice boy fall in love & live happily ever after story. thats not what it's like being a teenager. not everyone is the quater back of the football team & the head cheerleader. South was amazing because it showed real issues of family, race, religion, sexuality, & friendship. it delt with death which is something i delt with in high school & also love and acceptance, which is what all teenagers want & hope 4

Here in Spain is not on tv yet, but the shiw it´s abslutly perfect in diferents ways.I´m an actrees, and i have to say that all the characters are very very good played, all of them, from the bad ones (as Paula or Madison) to the principals as Ash or Spence or Arthur...So good job!!!well done!! As lesbian i have to admit that the story has every step wich happend in the real life...from the new experience for Spence to the relationship between two teenagers....the parents reaction....the intensity of their love...their feelings....Well as u can guess....i really love the show, and i´m looking forward news about the end of the third seson.I´ve read that one will be the last one and I CAN´T BELIEVE IT!!!! !I´d like to be in touch with ppl who likes and enjoy the show too. It's amazing how a show based on teen issues- but with such in-depth details relating to sexuality can actually have such an impact on many lives- no difference in age, creed or sexual orientation. Then so it happens- a turn around of events occurred after viewing South of Nowhere, many kids exposed to a positive insight in self acceptance and that of others and now the network wants to cancel SoN- those S.O.B's- shame on u..A show more real than Degrassi- please don't tease your audience with such an amazing show like SoN then take it away- HOW DARE YOU!! SAVE SPASHLEY DAMMITT! and with that being said, i am a 30yr. old wise ass- heart of a teenager chic, proud bi-sexual hidden in the closet for far too long - came out 6 yrs ago n proud of it...as long as my heart's happy and I'm smiling- I'm truly satisfied, but its really sad that this network doesn't recognize what this show has done nor what it will do for society in a whole,,, seriously- save spashley,,still has many years lef

It can't be over, we can't let them do this, we need to do whatever it takes to save it, have a sit in protest thing in front of the-n or something!! We can't let them do them to us, the show is too important. Watching episode 16 part 2 was so devastating because it means it's over and I'm like heartbroken. We need to show them how important this show means to us but some sort of protest or something because the petitions don't seem to be working. We need to do something, anything!!! Any suggestions??? I know there are plenty of you that feel the same way so if we band together, they have to listen to us!!! We're not going down without a fight!!!

I'm from Quebec in Canada I speak french so i'm sorry for my english...I just want to say that SON is an extraordinary show and it will miss me a lot! I don't understand that it's already finish! For the rest I will write in French. Cette série a apporté un nouveau visage beaucoup plus actuel à l homosexualité chez les filles de cet âge à notre époque en Amérique. SON a servi à dédramatiser l'homosexualité chez les jeunes. I hope that someday the Quebecers will be able to watch this fantastic show on our tv. We should save spashley!! And for your information I'm lesbian and I'm 18 years old...

hey...i'm from germany and found all those spashley videos on youtube while surfing there.i started the first one and got curious what would happen next because they were fighting so much and paula was giving spence crap so i kept wathcing it there. i got to admit it touched me. i never had that from any show like that before but i just can't stop thinking about it..when i heard they are thinking about cancelling it i was shocked..because obviously there are a lot of people who just love this show and it is what the society needs.because there are so many people who are opposed to gay couples or whatever. but i say finding love is so awesome no matter if it's with a boy or girl and people just need to accept that. i think cancelling SoN would be an awful mistake because obviously a lot of people love this show...don't give up guys and keep fighting for it

I'm almost 16 and bi, but to be straight here (ha a joke) I had never even heard of SON until 3 days ago. While video surfing youtube, I come across a Spashely video. I thought to myself: why not? As soon as it was done, I did the only thing I could do: buy every episode on iTunes. I have not slept for the past 2 days: I stayed up and watched them all. At one point I even started crying, just because it was so real. I... connected. It was so amazing, I looked more around the web for any scrap of info I could get and I found one word: cancelled. At work today, I was misreable, but told myself I was too emotionally attached to something stupid. I mean really, I needed to grow up, right? But on chance I stumbled across this site and I can see all these other people who must feel the same! Now I know I'm not crazy. In such a small amount of time, SON has hit me so hard with so much intensity it's hard to comprehend. For it to be cancelled, it's disgusting. So to Spashely: PLEASE HOLD ON!

I dont think that this is even close to enough room to express my gratitude for not only the creators of SON, but mostly *in no offense* to Gabrielle and Mandy. I started watching this show about mid-first season, and like everyone else, became instantly addicted. At first, it was simply a really amazing show. It wasnt until the second season that this show changed my life, literally. When Ashleys dad died, and with the webisode that came after, I contacted my real dad. When Paula told Spencer she disgusted her I came out to my mom. Its things like this, trust me there is a lot more . . . but there is no way to thank those two for portraying their characters as well as they did, and I would love nothing more then to just be able to tell them that. Thank you so much for changing all that I was for the better, you will never know what your show has done for my life!

Ok so maybe SoN was just meant to be a show. Anyone can see that it turned out to be a lot more than that. The way Spencer and Ashley were portrayed in this show helped me finally understand myself which is something I was never able to do in the past. Im a lesbian. Im not exactly proud of it yet but thats what I am. Im embraced it and soon other people will be able to embrace it. Spashley was a drug to me and still is. Spencer and Ashley made me laugh, cry, and want to go bop someone in the head like in the V8 commercials, but they proved what love is. What love can be. Not what the world thinks of love these days. I think that love is a neverending source and we should use it every day. Most of all, the characters, Spencer and Ashley, made me see what I want in life and what Ill wait for; true love. Meaningful relationships are some of the hardest things to come by these days, but thats all Ill ever want. My life will be complete when I have a relationship like Spashleys.

I just recently started watching SON. I wish i had known about it sooner... I feel like im right there with spencer. Like she said to Aiden it would just be easier; and ive lived my life that way. Its so hard to be who u are when so many say its wrong. I feel like when im watching it I can be myself i can be confident in how i feel and who i am. It shows that true love is powerful and can cross any boundary no matter color, gender, age, whatever. I want that....

I wore my save spashley shirt to the gym last week. Yesterday a man in his mid 20s came to me and said hey you were the girl with the website on her back last week. at first i had no idea what he was talking about. then he told me he was curious what it was and he was curious what save spashley meant. so he went to the website when he got home. he took the time to look around and he told me that his younger sister who just graduated high school is a lesbian and how his whole family is not very accepting of it. he told me that after he read around and watched the videos he called his sister and asked her to come over to talk. he told her about the show and aparently shes a south fan! so for the first time in a LONG time they had something to talk about. he thanked me for it all. i told him how the show has done that and so much more for so many of us. i dont know what a lot of us would do w/out our first spashley moment that changed our lives. this story touched me. save spashley

well thats definitely sure... i think that since south appeared gay people understood what parents feel in this kind of situation.. which of course will give them more confidence about the way we can talk to them ... and a good waY for parents too.. to figure out hwo their daughter, son whoever is feeling in that right moment... so PLEASE think that besides big quantities of money by not cancelling south you are for sure helping people abroad to deal with this part of ther life that facing the fact that this society has a lot of tabues its a good way to start to accept thw world as it comes!!!

I love SON, (wooh go SPASHLEY!!)...the acters/actresses...Matt Cohen (topless guy=D lol) Mandy Musgrave(Fashion icon!!); Gabrielle Christian (one amazing role model!!)....xx

Spashley is amazing, and i cant believe that the show is ending. The show is great, and has helped me with alot. I've learned to accept who i am, and what i like. In general, because i dont like girls. But anyways, south of nowhere is the best series ever.

i am currently 22 years old i started watching SON not to long ago, i started by reading the recaps and instantly i fell in love with it..... it took me back to a story in my life that i hadn't been able to relive but with spashley i did, now everytime i see it a smile comes to my face and then i realize that after the fall it'll be gone.... and i dont want that to happen, SON is the only connection i have to that moment in my life it makes me happy and it brings a smile upon my face seeing such a beautiful love story, we have to come together and save this show, we can't let it go so easy not so fast. at least I WONT STAND FOR THAT....... hopefully the-n and the whole world notices how important this show is, and how close to reality it is for us .......

I never had someone to relate to on tv. South was the first show where I could see my feelings represented. The show has helped me learn to accept myself. I havent came out yet but I everyday I watch a Spashley video and I get more courage. I am devastated the show is ending. It only makes me more afraid to come out. This is the purest love story I have ever seen.

i love this show so much it reminds me of what im going through right now. In the process of coming out. even though i have never watched it until a few days ago it has inspired me to tell my parents that im gay. i really injoy watching SON because i really connect with what the characters are going through and i wish to see the show continue.

I must just say that I'm from England. After being sceptical about a high school based lesbian storyline I soon found myself falling in love with this show. I used to think the L word was the best show in the universe but have since changed my opinion and would place SON at the top of my to watch list. I am so so sad this show is being taken off the air, it is inconcievable and while I understand that if a show isn't getting the ratings changes need to be made, I feel removing it entirely is unforgivable. Gay people are a minority and yes that means this show may get a smaller viewing average than say Dawson's Creek but does that justify cancelling it because if that is the case - what is left for other minority groups? Young men and women confused with how they feel need this show, but so do those looking for good storylines and great actors. Please N reconsider. We will love you forever if you give us a fifth season. Regards Olympus
