I cant even described what I felt when I first heard that SoN was cancelled. I dont want to sound so overdramatic but I think my heart broke right then. I cant understand why The-N would cancel the show when it has been nothing but an eye-opener to everyone. I can say 100% that SoN helped thousands even millions of people whether youre straight, bis, lesbians, confused. Because I myself was one of them. I hope that The-N would see the HUGE-HUGE significant of the show, and wont cancel SoN. This show is too good to pass up. But if sadly they wont, Im hopin, prayin that Tom Lynch would consider other channel. Because again, this it too good to be wasted. I will be forever thankful, greatful for this show. That once in my life I have met Spencer and Ashley. I would never forget, not in this lifetime the show that made me realize who I am. But I hope, SoN, the saga would continue, to bring hope and good entertainment to everyone. SAVE SoN!!! pls! Cookie 26yr Jpn

oh, by the way. I'm a 24 years old female, gay, lesbian... from spain and I really passed that phase time ago, but I BELIEVE S.O.N. is NECESARY for people to understand that gay people are NORMAL. GOD, I'm so so so angry (and I can't see my last testimonial..

Hi, my name is Irene, writing from Spain.I'm watching South of Nowhere from the beginning, I write to share my disgust at the cancellation of the series. I do not know if those responsible are aware of what is likely to mean a series for its followers, but in this particular case, it is much more than that, this is cancelling a great work that is putting this series in terms of gay visibility among the adolescent world. I know that many teenagers have felt the strength to cope with this stage of their life thanks to the series, thanks to these characters and the actors and actresses. I speak not only as an angry fan, also as a person of the world, which sees stymieing progress of the society cancelling a program that served to it.It's really important that South of Nowhere will continue until, at least, a right ending, not cancellation.A lot of people around the world NEED s.o.n. thanks and sorry for my english-mistakes. Kisses from spain

My name is Annie, and I'm a 20 year old bisexual girl. Wow, that sentence in and of itself has been so difficult for me in the past. I was so confused in my teen years about my place in this world, and why I felt so unlike everyone around me. This show is more than just a form of entertainment to girls like me, but rather, a beacon of acceptance. To see a character like Ashley struggle with the issue of being attracted to both genders, it made me feel like I wasn't so alone in this world. South of Nowhere has allowed so many young girls to embrace themselves, not only as gay or bisexual, but as human beings, who instead of living a lifestyle live simply... a life. Is it so wrong to want to be represented? Is it so wrong to want a reflection of my demographic, just one, on a television with over 500 channels? I hope that we can save SoN, if only to help other young girls out there struggling to find themselves. Maybe, like me, they won't feel so isolated anymore.

I am a 16 year old straight girl living in California. During the 2nd season, I really got into watching South of Nowhere. It's become one of my favorite shows, and has really opened my mind up about the gay community. I have absolutely no idea how the behind-the-scenes network decisions go, so I don't know why this show was cancelled. But that isn't really important. What's important is that this show is not just your run-of-the-mill teen drama. Yes, it has unrealistic storylines an plot twists, and it has developed that soap-esque quality. But above all, this show delivers a true message, one of accepting yourself, and accepting others, and learning to live life to its full extent. And overall, I think that message is delevered very well, and not just through the Spashley storyline. As far as I can tell, this show has a pretty large and loyal fanbase, so I think it really should be kept on the air to continue telling the great stroy that it is. Thank you.

I am a girl & i love girls and thanks to south, it helped me understand who i am better than i did. When i heard about them canceling it, i was devistated. I felt as if hy heart was riped out. I stopped watching The-N. i hate degrassi. It is an old show that is washed up. Now south brought in diversity, love, and new fans everyday. It was the worst thing The-N ever did & i bet they will regret it in the end. South was a show that saved lives, helped lives & let the older generation know that there is other people in the world other than them. Adults may not have liked it b/c of what it having lesbians. i think the-n has the get over the fact that there are gay people in the world & for you canceling a show with us in it, wont stop us from coming out. This show at least gave you a warning. Maybe the-n needs to get over them selves &relize there are other people in the world other than them. us gay people are the future of america, why piss us off now? get over it n play south. In simple words south of nowhere was the most helpful show put on telivision. It helped parents accept their children, and helped the children come out to their parents and be open. I know all of you guys agree with me! I don't know how the-n will be able to live with not renewing this. I hope another network can be smart for once and pick up this show. I love it and it is my favorite show on the air by far. If the n is going to do what they say, then you can bet I will never tune in to the-n again. If you guys agree or disagree with me I would LOVE to know why. Thats why I'm saying now that you can email me at kristenlojkar@yahoo.com. I would hope that I have no emails that are disagreeing, but I do accept them and would love to hear them. Thank you.

South of Nowhere has touched so many people. We need to let its message be heard by younger generations and for as long as possible. South helps kids everywhere feel like it's okay to be themselves. Please don't take that away from our youth. Please reconsider your decision to cancel south of nowhere. Think about how many more people you could help Think about what it will do for your network to take it away.

Hi i'm Lainey, 13 year old female, straight. And I think South of nowhere deserves to be on the-n, not stupid shows like 'Naked Brothers band, and Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide'; Those shows are for little kids, and so the networks that play them. We need a network that plays, shows for teens! Such as South of Nowhere, Degrassi, and The Best Years, ect. These shows relate to what teens are going through and they help us out. It's not fair to take that away from us! We need south of nowhere! We Love it! It's an amazing show that helps people deal.It is important to me, and I think it is ridiculous that the-N would be so stupid as to cancel it. I think that if the-N cares about their teen viewers, who are the same viewers who have loved the-N from the start, and the same viewers who have been loyal, they will keep SOUTH OF NOWHERE on the air.. And I really hope they see that.

My name is Kelsey and I am 15. I personally LOOOOVE South of Nowhere. It has just taught me so much about diversity and so much about the gay and lesbian community. I, like Spencer, come from a small town and I am home-schooled so I have lived a pretty sheltered life. South of Nowhere has made a HUGE impact on my life and I will never forget about this show and the people that have made it possible. South of Nowhere truly means a lot to me. I come from a small town, and I personally don't know many people who are gay, but this show has taught me so much and it has deeply inspired me. It has taught me that there should be no discrimination no matter what race, religion or sexual orientation you are. We are all people and we all need to have love for one another. When I heard that this show was going to be canceled, I couldn't think why they would do that. This show has helped me learn more about myself and about other people. Canceling this show would be a HUGE mistake! SAVE SPASHLEY!!

I was 15 when I started watching South of Nowhere. The reason I started watching is because I was very confused about my sexuality. I could relate with Spencer and her struggle with her mom about being gay. My mother was not very supportive of me when I told her and seeing how Spencer dealt with it helped me deal. Thanks to this show I found the courage to stand up to my mom and realize that it's ok for me to be this way. If this show is cancelled I will no longer have anything on t.v. to relate to or to make me see that being gay is ok and normal. This show is amazing and I don't think it's time for it to be over yet.

Hi, I am a 16 year old girl living in Oregon and I am really upset that South of Nowhere has been cancelled. SON has been the only TV show that I have ever so personally connected to and felt like I could relate to. For the past year I have been struggling with my sexuality and there has been nearly no one in my small close-minded town to talk to about it, except occasional, awkward conversations with my mom. I honestly think I would have been in much more of a confused state had SON never existed. I think I would have had even more trouble accepting myself. But South of Nowhere has meant so much to me. And it should continue to air, because it impacts so many people, and I am sure even saves lives. DO NOT cancel SON!!!!!! Thank you!

The day I found out about SoN was one of my greatest day ever. I'm Italian, 28 years old and my first big love was a woman and I think I will always be in love with her, even after 10 years nothing changed. I had gone through the same story like season two and SoN really helped me to get along with it knowing that there are other people going through exactly the same story and 3a showed me not to give up, it kept me dreaming. I can relate to it nearly 100%. As I heard about 3b being the last season was one hell of a sad day for me. We can't let them take away our show. We have to go on with al these campaigns and keep on fighting for it, maybe some other channel is going to pick up the show!! So a big request to everybody, to all SoN and Spashley fans, don't give up already, show all your love for it and how feisty (in a positive way) we can be!!! Keep on fighting and maybe we can save Spashley!!!

I, personally, cannot believe that anyone would cancel South. The show is real, a motivation for gay teens, and it certainly isn't lacking in viewers. But I'm sure that if we show them that we are loyal to the show, they may come back. Look at OTH. So I am proud to be part of the Spashley army and to help fight to bring South back.

After hearing about the cancellation of South of Nowhere, I can honestly tell you that I was and still am crushed. This show has helped so many people figure out who they are and that theyre not alone in the world. By taking away this show from The-N they take away most young teenagers guide. When this show first came on the air it automatically had a response. In canceling South of Nowhere they lose many fans who are completely devoted to the show. Although the mass of South of Nowhere fans does not compare with that of Degrassi, but if you take a good look at it, South of Nowhere has been on for only three seasons, and Degrassi has been on for about seven. Yet, the number of fans for both shows are quite close. In all reality, canceling this show is canceling out the confused and struggling teens hopes for a silver lining. I sincerely hope that this message is taken into consideration. The South of Nowhere fans are dedicated and will do anything to get it back.

It was the episode where Ashley and Spencer went to the beach. And then Ashley listed off the ways to tell if you were…gay. And in my head, I knocked off each one. And as soon as the episode ended, Bella and I turned to each other and we knew. We could have said that we weren’t, or that we didn’t feel that way towards other girls. But we didn’t. She didn’t need to say, “Jordan, I like girls.” And I didn’t need to say, “Isabella, I like them too.” The feeling was mutual. And we both knew it. So I guess what I’m saying is that I’m glad I found Isabella. I’m glad that she found this show. And I’m glad that The N put it out there for us to find. The cancellation came as shock to both of us. We didn’t expect our favorite show to be shut down when it reached so many people. I think this show has done such a great job spreading the awareness of the gay/lesbian community. And it’s helped so many people find the courage to come out, including Bella and myself.

gender:chick age:15 Orientation: Bi well i was in 7th grade when south aired, and that was the same time that i started having sexual feelings, long story short, i denied girls turned me on, kept watchin SoN, traumatised a lesbian girl(i was an a-hole) then south finally got thro to me and i accepted who i was finally! and every season i was going thro the same thing! season 2 come out to friends and family, season 3, put up w/ moody ass girlfriend and get mom(in my case step mom) to accept you. i can relate to this show alot more than i ever did w/ degrassi. and i feel more of a conection w/ spencer and ashley and pretty much all the other characters than i ever have w/ any other show! so please! keep south of nowhere on the air! this show has impacted my life in so many ways you couldnt even imagine!

So I met Bella, well Isabella but she hates that name. I remember once she tried to talk to her mom into getting it changed to something not so unique. But then the next day a new girl came in with the same name and she dropped the whole ordeal right away. But anyway, I met her when we were in the sixth grade. Lower class on the totem pole, we’d find anyone to hang onto if it meant we didn’t get beat up by the eighth graders. That was six years ago. Then all of a sudden, Bella stopped talking to me. Well, for a couple weeks or so. I just couldn’t understand why. So I called her one day, asking what was up. She told me she found this new show. At first I was appalled that she would stop talking to me because of a show. But me being the friend I was to her, I asked her when it was going to be on. She said on Friday at eight. Now, that was a problem. See, I was obsessed with Ghost Whisperer and that is when her show came on. But, I got over it and went to her house to see it.

Okay..If this show gets cancelled, I'll get on the roof of my house, scream to God, WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! And then I'll proceed to lock myself in my room, and cry myself to sleep. This show means so much to so many people. If it gets cancelled..Let's not think about it shall we? I mean really, me, being a 14 year old girl with a few gay friends thinks that this is really wrong. I think that this show is more than entertainment for some if not all of the gay teens out there watching this show. And almost everyone who watches it learns something very imortant. Love truly is blind. Whether you be black, white, gay or straight. In conclusion, South of Nowhere not only deserves to be on tv for entertainment, but it NEEDS to be on tv. Millions of people are out there right now needing this kind of message to be taught to them. If South of Nowhere gets cancelled now, then those people might never have another chance. Save Spashley.

cont...channel south of nowhere comes on and he said yeah of course and that started it all. we can talk and stuff now about that show. and while i’m sure i’m not gonna stop talking to him and i know shows don’t run forever but it’d be kinda sucky to end the tradition so soon. plus i really want to know what’s gonna happen to my girls.if this is all that comes across in my message i really want to commend the N for even putting a show like this out there. i may just be a meathead dude, like i know some of the people on here might call me, but i know how important this show is for everybody. the exposure alone starts the conversation and hopefully brings people one step closer to not only tolerating, but understanding. it’s important for the gay community sure, but also for the world, i think. and it’d be a shame to let that go, so soon, at least.

this is going to sound really shallow or whatever but my brother’s begging me to do it so i’m gonna go for it anyway. my gay brother and i bonded over south of nowhere. now it’s fairly easy to understand why i, a straight guy, love the show. my brother, fortunately, has a great imagination, but honestly he doesn’t need it because he’s as much of a Spencer as any girl.but like i said, we bonded over this show. we’re identical twins and exact opposites in every way. i’m a sports fanatic and even watching sports exhausts him. he’s fashionable and i’m all good with a t-shirt from yesterday and some board shorts. i’m into girls and he’s…not.when he came out, it was pretty bad for a minute. mainly with my dad, but it was just a man thing i think. we all kinda knew Mark was gay, he’s just that obvious. but, yeah, we were not very in touch with one another and hardly ever talked. but then, he was watching degrassi because he’s into someone on there and i was like isn’t this the

I am a heterosexual 53 year old mother of a 17 year old lesbian. I have watched every episode of South Of Nowhere with my daughter. This is the only show of this kind for teen lesbians, and I find it informative and educational. I attended the first South Of Nowhere conference with my daughter and got to meet the cast and it is easy to tell that the show is something created out of love. I understand that the show was suppose to have five seasons ,and I think it is important for young lesbians to continue having this show. The N has a commitment to our children and they can not disappoint them by ending it so early I AM THE PROUD MOTHER OF A LESBIAN AND SAVE SPASHLEY!.

I'm a 17 year old lesbian and the South Of Nowhere cancellation really breaks my heart. I LOVE this show and it has helped become strong enough to come out to my friends and to come out to strangers. The N does not know what they are doing by canceling a show that has touched so many people. South Of Nowhere is the only show on The N that has any real substance and it is the only show on tv right now that really shows a loving relationship between two girls, This show is also something that my mom and I have bonded over after I came out to her. I adore this show and we need to save spashley!

Ok so when I heard that South of Nowhere was getting canceled I acctualy cried. Do you know why? Well ill tell you South of Nowhere IS the most amazing real-life show on the universe and that is a very good thing. It deals with all the things teens deal with today and since I am a teen and I can say it saved my life and im pretty sure it saved others too. A show this good should not even be thought about being canceled. If i even thought about m life without south is would be so depressed. South of Nowhere has reached into all the fans and found a place in there hearts, and im pretty sure that its going to stay in our hearts, but it would be even greater if another channel finds South of Nowhere and puts it in there hearts. So please do all the fans a favor and keep South of Nowhere and of coarse Spashley alive.

Take the time to read this, as I believe that no matter who you are, you'll understand. South of Nowhere is the only show I've ever watched that I can say honestly changed me. You all know what I'm talking about, whether you are a teenager like myself reading this post or some stuck-up, shy executive snooping inside the diaries of these boards. You've been changed sometime. Whether it was a book, a speech, a show, a movie; a person, even...You've been changed sometime. Well, guess what? I hadn't. Not until South came along. And trust me, this whole teen television thing? Not my thing. I'm 14 years old and I've planned on being a psychiatrist forever; always felt different from people although I tend to blend quite well with the more popular kids. I've never come across a show before that helped me discover who I was. Ever. It's always been entertainment until I saw South of Nowhere. Picture this. Pretty girl, knows what she wants out of life. Intelligent. Caring... Homophobic, extremely unhappy. You know why? She's gay. She just doesn't know it. That wasn't just me back then. It was a thousand of us. A million of us. And maybe we weren't all pretty or afraid of being gay completely or extremely unhappy before, but even the straight ones here have felt uncomfortable sometime...Have lost someone, metaphorically or literally, to drugs or other issues. We've all been through the things depicted in South of Nowhere, and I can't tell you how many teenage lesbian relationship stories I've heard - true life ones - that were parallel to Spashley. Spencer and Ashley are not just characters concocted by an old, money-grubbing man. They are us. We have all been a Spencer before - or known one - someone questioning their sexuality, scared and confused; angry and misunderstood...Sharing a secret from the world that starts off tiny; the glance you snuck at that girl's backside at the beach, the thoughts that crept into your head...But it gets so, so much bigger. Secret glances turn into mutual stares that family members notice. Thoughts turn into actions. Actions change who we are, and finally, we all have to fess up sometime...whether it means saying "I like girls" or "I like boys" or "I wasn't born the right gender" whatever it may be. We all have to let it out. Spencer showed us how. We've all worn our hearts on our sleeves and had them sold for half price. We've all cared about someone only for them to leave eventually...And we need to see someone like Spencer, who instead of crumbling down, got up on her own two feet and lived like the fallen angel she was. We'd all like to be angels, I think. But we've all been Ashleys as well, angry with ourselves and the world, building walls painted and tainted in beautiful graffiti - art, whatever - to entice others and pull them in only to be pushed out sometime. We've all felt like being Ashleys and some of us have turned into one. And it helps so much to see someone like me on that screen, accidentally hurting others, crying out for help...And finally breaking down. Finally letting someone in those walls for good. Spencer and Ashley are the meeting of those two sides. The accepting, caring side, with the rebellious, angry side. The strong and the weak. The forgiving and the grudge-holding. They are raw, and human, and they are us. And they are every relationship we've ever been in, in one way or another, especially our first loves. So don't you DARE take me away from me. South can't end after 3B because our lives don't end after 3B. And I know you could say that about any season that it would end, yes, but we would never be satisfied until we saw all 5 seasons Lynch said he had planned out, because we know that nothing else is the ending that everyone rooting for us originally intended. We\'re not going to be happy with anything but the truth, or anything but what we know was [i:ff \r\n
