there are too many people around the world that love SON...starting for the whole US..,CANADA,ARGENTINA, MEXICO,PERU,CHILE,URUGUAY,PUERTO RICO,SPAIN,FRANCE,ITALY,SINGAPORE,INDONESIA, AUSTRALIA,GERMANY, and god knows what other countries...ALL TOGETHERS TO SAVE SON........there millions of viewers that THE-N is going to lose forever if you cancel the show...... don't you belive me?, so you must check out the testimonials ... and also you will notice that for every single persons of those countries (straights,gays,bisexuals, brothers, sisters, parents and grandparents) somehow south have changed their lifes for good...for some to don't be afraid about what people will say and come out, for others to understand that be gay is not a bad thing and that they need to be love and seen as normal people and not as freaks.....and others to accept themselves as gay, lesbian or bi,....and maybe for others SON just makes them feel relief that they are not alone in this and that out there are lots of people that are having the same feelings, the same confusion and that they are not the onlyone that are trying to figure out themeselves.............There are too many cases, too many things that south have made for too many people....it deserve to stay on the air.........PLEASE there're still persons that need help, a help that maybe only south can give them, because you know that gay thing is not something that you can talk to your parents as if your telling them "hey, tonight i'm going to a party" ..................helooooooo! open youre eyes....save SON and you'll save others specially tennage people. To have such a thought-provoking teen drama that focuses on real issues is rare. The best part about South Of Nowhere is that it is a standout program. The writing, directing, and acting is amazing and the 'N is truly letting this rare gem go. I think that canceling South of Nowhere without giving the fans a better explanation other than "we want a younger audience" because if that was the case the re-runs of the programs that my generation grew up watching (Fresh Prince, Saved By the Bell) etc. would be off the air as well. Honestly, the 'N has room for South of Nowhere if they simply changed the time it aired so that it would not interfere with the kiddie programming. Anything from 9pm and up is fair game. In all seriousness what parent would allow their child in the younger demographic to stay up beyond 9 anyway. Canceling South of Nowhere is a slap in the face to all the fans who followed the plots and various storylines. I am highly disappointed and I totally plan on dropping the 'N following the final 8 episodes of South of Nowhere. |

I can't believe they are actually canceling it! I'll tell you what this show has done for me, as well as millions of other people around the world, I grew up in a household where I was taught that being gay is "wrong." One night one of my friends told me that being gay was wrong, and I disagreed with her and I felt strange for not caring weather the love of my life was a boy or a girl. I was confused, because my friend told me that I had no idea what I was talking about that you can't control being gay, and that you can't control who you are. She told me that I didn't understand anything, and that true love is when a boy and a girl like each other. The very next day, I stumbled upon this show, and I couldn't believe it, I knew exactly what Spencer was going through. That show entertained me but it also taught me, as well as others that its not about being a man or a women, being one race or another, through this show I learned that true love is when you find that one PERSON that makes you feel happy in a way that no one else can. Love is about finding the one PERSON you just can't live without. I learned that if a man makes you feel that way, great, and if its a women that makes you feel this way, also great. If they are going to cancel a message like that, then they may as well teach us to fear anything different. And about the argument that says that they want a younger audience on the-N, MOVE THE SHOW DON'T CANCEL IT!!!! And don't we have enough of those channels already? Who needs another channel for Drake and Josh, or I-Carly? Us teenagers need a channel that we can relate with. And the excuse that we can't offend the religious I can ha people, what about Degrassi? Are they going to cancel every episode with Marco in it, are they just going to kill him off, because, oh my god, HE'S GAY!!! The show has answered several questions I had, and help me gain confidence and strength in who I am, not what everyone says. DO WHAT YOU CAN TO SAVE THE SHOW, HELL EVEN CONVINCE ANOTHER CHANNEL TO TAKE IT, BUT DON'T LET THE SHOW DIE!!!!!!!!!!! Help this show continue, so it can help several other teens, as it has helped me and everyone on this site. |

well that's definitely sure... i think that since south appeared gay people understood what parents feel in this kind of situation.. which of course will give them more confidence about the way we can talk to them ... and a good waY for parents too.. to figure out hwo their daughter, son whoever is feeling in that right moment... so PLEASE think that besides big quantities of money by not cancelling south you are for sure helping people abroad to deal with this part of ther life that facing the fact that this society has a lot of tabues it's a good way to start to accept thw world as it comes!!! |
