Save Spashley has created Spashley Action Teams. Read on to find out how you can get active and help create visibility for South of Nowhere!
We at Save Spashley have been working hard over the last couple of months to put a plan into action that will allow each willing member of the fan base to actively help save South of Nowhere. Through our talks with people involved in the network, Tom Lynch, cast and crew members, we’ve decided that the core issue is ratings. If we can largely raise the ratings for the season 3B premiere and finale, we’ll have the adequate ammo we need to get either the N or another network’s attention. After all, if there’s an increase from 3A to 3B, won’t they realize that there is, in fact, a large and growing group of people out there who are interested and invested in this show? Ratings are our best weapon and our dedicated fans are our best allies. It’s time we start combining these two to create actions unlike anything we’ve seen before.
Save Spashley has created Spashley Action Teams. It will require active fan participation at the highest level. We plan to use our Action Teams from now up until the show actually airs. Our mission: to spread the word about South of Nowhere and get as many new people interested in this show as possible. We need to prove that if you air the show, they – the viewers – will come. This is how we’ll do it:
The Action Teams are divided into two equally critical parts: the Net Teams and the Street Teams. The Net Teams will be focused on reaching every corner of web discussion to systematically spread the word about South while the Street Teams will literally take to the streets handing out flyers at events and stuffing mailboxes. Interested fans can sign up for one or both of these teams and choose your level of participation. We have worked hard to make sure to design the teams that that every person can be allowed to do as little or as much as they’re able. That’s the beauty of it!
Here’s a quick breakdown to tell you how it’s done:
Net Teams: This half of the Spashley Action Team will either pick or be assigned three forums where they will join and start discussing Spashley and South of Nowhere with this new forum’s members. Interested fans will fill out this webform so we can know exactly who is participating and who is working on what. Net Teams are particularly good for international fans and time-strapped U.S. fans.
Street Teams: This half of the Spashley Action Team is a little more advanced. Fans who sign up for Street Teams (via this web form) will have a choice of participating at three different levels or any combination of levels: Individual, Small Groups, and Larger Groups.
Note: We will provide flyers and information for those who are interested. Anyone can be free to design their own, however.
In short, the whole purpose of Spashley Action Teams are to allow fans to do as little or as much as they want while still making a difference. From handing out flyers to messaging on a fan forum, everyone who participates will help increase South of Nowhere’s visibility and help save the show.
Here’s what you need to do to participate:
1. Fill one or both of the web forms here: Net Team & Street Team
2. Check out appropriate directions and information packets that can be downloaded here at Save Spashley.
3. If you signed up for a Net Team, you will receive your website assignments or have your own choices cleared by an admin and proceed with your messaging! Contact the admin who cleared you with any questions.
4. If you signed up for a Street Team, start planning where you want to go and why. Print out our flyers or make your own. If you have any questions, contact an admin and then get rolling! If you want to join a small or large group, check our flash map for people in your area that you can join up with!
Remember: This is meant to be FUN more than anything. Meet some great new people, spread the word about a show that’s touched us all deeply, and maybe make a huge difference in the legacy of South of Nowhere.
Sign up now and help us make this work. Together we can Save Spashley!

Comment by goober on 2008-06-04 16:08:09 hey theresa! AWESOME! we're so glad you're interested in joining a street team.
what you need to do is click on where it says 'STREET TEAM' in big bold letters on this page and scroll down to the bottom where there's a link. click on that and it'll take you to a webform that will ask you basic questions about how involved you want to get in street teams. once you submit that, an admin will contact you and give you further information. or you can self start and let us know exactly what you plan on doing! if you have more questions, email
and we'll be sure to answer them ASAP.

Comment by GUEST on 2008-10-22 15:36:20 bueno hi my name is yulmir . I am peruana ...y nose mucho ingles ... bueno voi a escribir en español.
