We wish to create a site that is a rallying point where all fans of South of Nowhere can react and respond to the news of the show's recently announced cancellation after 3B airs.

During its run, South of Nowhere and, especially, its main coupling Spashley, have moved us and entertained us, but most of all educated us by bringing together fans from all walks of life and across the globe. It's taken the question "How do you know if you're gay?" and turned it into "How do you know if you're straight?", thereby, normalizing homosexual relationships in our society and promoting tolerance.
This is the time to have your say and show what South of Nowhere means to you. Whether you use it to sign a petition, join a street team, or write a letter to the network, please make sure that you aren't silent. We need every voice to speak out and be heard!

This is by far one of the best shows i have ever seen. Im 25 years old college educated and i tear up every time i see the two together. This doesn't need to stay on for just entertainment purposes. this MUST stay on for educational too!!! the things they go through is sooo helpful to teens in this day and age. its soo important to realize that pure love that we see on son. Its a severe tragic descion if this is being canceled for being feared reasons. pressure from religious groups or something like that. shame on them/ Let spashley love. Love is exactly that- LOVE!

This is like my favorite show. What do they plan to do? Play Keenan and Kel, and Saved by the Bell? THOSE SHOWS ARE SO OLD AND BAD!! Both have already been canceled. South of Nowhere is the best show on the n right now. They cant just play Degrassi all the time! They need South of Nowhere! Thats a huge amount of their fan base. By canceling this show, they are just showing that they are being ignorant towards gays and bis.
This show is very important to me. And I know its important to a lot of people. I mean. Im straight and I thought being gay was like...weird. BUT I didnt have a problem with it. But I turned on the TV one day, and South Of Nowhere was on. It really shows the struggles they had to go through and what a lot of gay people will have to do too. After that, i had a new level of respect for gay people. I think this show not only shows gay problems and issues. But it also teaches acceptance. And I think thats key for any show. What does Degrassi teach us? Dont be anorexic?

Truthfully I'm shocked, I had no idea it was even in danger. I'm not gonna lie, The N in general doesn't do much for me but I learned of this show through the internet and its bold writing, great acting and realistic portrayals of relevant issues made this show one I was really disappointed not to get in New Zealand. The L Words gone far enough downhill I would understand but this news is truly shocking |

Honestly, I really was surprised to hear the news. The show has helped me create an understanding that only this show could. I grew up with homosexuality being wrong and unacceptable, but South of Nowhere, even though it is only a TV show, expressed to me that people are who they are and love who they love. I'm glad that South of Nowhere was able to make me more opened minded to others and their lives. It was one of those rare shows that could entertain and explore valueable lessons that young teenagers like myself need to learn. Hopefully The-N will come to their senses and do the right thing, but if not, SON will still remain as one of the best shows ever created.-Thanks Lynch. |

South is a huge part of how I came to terms with my sexuality. I am very upset about the news... A part of me knew this would happen sooner or later b/c of the amount of LGBT content... but somehow i thought maybe we had come farther as a society. I am shocked and I will not watch the n anymore... b/c nothing interests me besides South on that network. Degrassi is a good filler at times but South is the reason I watch the n. Why would the network take the one show away that has meant so much to so many people? What else do we have besides the LWord???? Many of us are pushed out of our homes and have been abandoned by our families....Give us a break!!!!!!The show isn't even over yet and I feel a void already...

Everything that everyone says here is the true! We may don't know each other,but we have one big thing that makes us equal , we all love this show and grew up with it , one or another way . It truly did helped a lot of girls came out of the closet and be who they realy are ( I myself am one of them ).It helped so many girls to be strong and don't give up to them selfs,but most of all It showed the love , the never ending love , the one that changes your life forever .. The one that proved that Love exists , somewhere ..
I know it , cause four years ago I found that love and I was just 13 and still didn't realizing it , but the moment when you lay your eyes to that person it shows everything...
And if it wasn't for South of nowhere and Spashley I wouldn't believe it's true and wouldnt have the courage to stand tall and be who I'm !
I hope someone realy hears what everybody hears says and help up , give us a hope , give us back are show !

i honestly think this is the biggest mistake that the-n is making. what is going to air now? oh okay.. degrassi after like 75 years and about a girl? i'm sorry but after a while both of those shows get extremely old, but not south of nowhere. it continues to push us and make us excited to tune in for the next show. 3 years isn't enough to get the point across that south of nowhere is sending. the point that no matter what you are gay, straight, or bi that once you find your first love, it's all the same. i hope the-n will reconsider or else it will have lost yet another supporter because of its inconsiderate decisions. |

This is freaking ridiculous. Degrassi has been going on forever and that show kind of sucks. It doesn't have a steady great season like South does. South Of Nowhere definitly doesn't deserve to be cancelled. It is by far one of the most groundbreaking shows on television. Why take something off the air that not only educates people but brings everyone together. People always say oh well you just don't understand the LGBT community....well through the show south of nowhere people were given the chance to learn and open their minds. How are the people ever expected to accept differences in people when you are taking shows like SON off the air. This show has made such a difference in so many peoples lives, i know it has in mine. It was my therapy, my guide, my teacher. To deprive the fans of something so real and life changing is just plain wrong. I know that without this show i would still be in the closet and be so miserable it hurts....because thats how it was before the show came around. And then i started watching and learned its ok to be different and that you can't be afraid of being yourself. Love is love no matter who it is you choose to love. It is because of this show i no longer believe in labels. You are what you are and there's no changing it. This show has changed lives so at least give us til the end of season five like we were promised. Because without this show many lives will go unchanged or be left with unhappiness. |

Whats the world coming to when possibly the greatest series to ever grace television screens gets sandbagged for dealing with real-life, current, human issues? Our society needs shows like SoN if it ever hopes to progress at all. The awful jackasses who believe SoN should be canceled need to open their eyes and see how beautiful people really are!
